Gifts: For Your Friends and Family

Discovering God in the Ordinary: Four Women. Different Journeys. Same Pursuit.

We often expect to feel God's presence in joyous mountaintop experiences or when walking through the darkest valley, but we mustn't forget that God can surely be found in the ordinary moments of our lives. In this devotional, we seek to inspire you to find God in your everyday life, whether it's dropping your kids off at school, waiting in the checkout line at your local grocery store, or meeting a friend over coffee. Because here's the truth: God wants to invade every part of our lives, but sometimes, it's just a matter of us opening our eyes to see his hand moving all around us.

About our Authors: Heidi is a young wife and mom balancing two toddlers and an infant. Jo is busy balancing the many different roles that occur at middle age as wife, mother and professional. LuAnn is a recent empty-nester learning how to juggle extra time, work and ministry. Julie is a spiritual director, mentoring women as they deepen their walk with God.

These four women come together navigating life through different lenses, stages of marriage, friendship, careers, and faith, but with a collective perspective of Finding God in the Ordinary.

Whispers of God's Grace: Stories to Encourage Your Heart

Authors: LuAnn Adams, Jo Bender and Julie Miller

We are storytellers, and our favorite stories to tell are those that turn hearts toward God. And while everyone has their own unique story, it is through the telling of those stories that we are able to truly experience Him. In the midst of our joys and fears, hopes and challenges, we can see God there with us. Our hope is that as you read our stories, and the stories of others, that you will begin to see God in your story as well, and the role you play in Whispering God's Grace to others.

Journeying Mercies: God's Little Love Gifts along Life's Way

Author: Julie Miller

As we journey through this life of ours there will be times when we are tempted to think we walk alone. Wherever you may find yourself on the path of life, know that there is a Savior who walks beside you. He has been scattering little love gifts all along your path to remind you of His presence. Lift your eyes with me, my friend, and be reminded of His many journeying mercies.

I’m turning 60 next month. I can hardly believe it myself. But, I’ve decided that I no longer want to live comfortably. I want to live with a spirit of adventure like I had in the past. To be unafraid of what’s new or different. I want to remain so open to the Spirit of the living God that his love compels me to go wherever he leads me.

I am passionate about people leaning into all that Jesus is. You. Me. Us. Journeying together with God. This is my greatest blessing. And now that my kiddos are out on their own, I’m learning to navigate my new normal. And I am finding there is life after little ones and teens after all!

I am currently a full-time nanny and will be returning to school in the fall of 2019 to finish mydegree in relational communications and graduate in the spring of 2020. I am using this break from school to grow, heal, appreciate a slower pace of living, and to invest more time into relationships with family, friends, and God. Through this process I am learning what I want to prioritize in my life and figuring out ways to make that happen. Most of all, I am figuring out that life is all about process, taking steps closer to where I want to be and celebrating the little victories but also accepting that there will be setbacks and disappointments along the way.
